Who's Eligible
Hand2Heart works with individuals who are currently incarcerated, recently released, or returning to the community after involvement with the criminal legal system and who are ready to make positive changes in their lives.
Our programs serve people living in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, and Maryland (the DMV region) who are seeking support with reentry, employment, education, and personal growth. Whether someone is preparing for release or already back in the community, Hand2Heart offers structured programming, mentorship, and workforce support designed to help participants build stability and move forward.
Participants in Hand2Heart programs are typically:
- Currently incarcerated and preparing for release
- Recently released form incarceration
- On supervision or probation
- Living in the DMV region
- Interested in employment, education, or workforce training
- Willing to engage in programming and mentorship
- Committed to making positive changes in their lives
